The story retells the history of the Irish along with the struggles of its people through a powerful blend of dance\, music and song. The show intertwines traditional Irish dancing and tap dance\, along with other styles such as fiery Latin dance rhythms\, Russian folk dance and contemporary. Not an ordinary dance show\, Riverdance explores themes that express the heart of the Irish immigrants?from the depiction of the miracle of spring\, to war\, famine\, and slavery\; culminating with their defiant hope at the prospect of a new world.
