Riverdance 20 Years: The Anniversary Tour

An Irish Phenomenon! The International Irish dance phenomenon is alive and well. Since its arrival in 1994, nothing has carried the energy, sensuality and the spectacle of Riverdance. The company has performed more than 11,000 shows in 46 countries around the world. The 20th Anniversary Tour arrives in the United States in the fall of 2015, and we are extremely excited to bring their colorful passion and energy to the Temple Theater stage. The story retells the history of the Irish along with the struggles of its people through a powerful blend of dance, music and song. The show intertwines traditional Irish dancing and tap dance, along with other styles such as fiery Latin dance rhythms, Russian folk dance and contemporary. Not an ordinary dance show, Riverdance explores themes that express the heart of the Irish immigrants?from the depiction of the miracle of spring, to war, famine, and slavery; culminating with their defiant hope at the prospect of a new world. It?s all about the power of the river, and the music that has sustained them since the beginning of time?which is why Riverdance has captivated the hearts and feet of people for the past 20 years.
