Researching your African American Roots

Sharon Gillins, Research Associate at Mary Moody Northern Endowment in Galveston, will introduce novice researches to the strategies and documents they can use to locate ancestors, document resources, and extend the branches of their family tree. The presentation will include examples of historical documents that beginning researchers can readily access as they begin their own journey of family history discovery.
